Science/Art Show up at the Manx

My current science/art show is currently hanging at the Manx pub on Elgin street in Ottawa for the month of July.  This show, which focusses on the aesthetic elements of insect diversity aims to connect people with nature in this common neighbourhood pub.  Come on by for a drink and a chat about biodiversity and nature’s critters in all of their glory.

The exhibit was featured on the CBC Radio 1 program Ottawa Morning with Hallie Cotnam and you may hear the clip by following this link or by listening directly below on this page.

We very much enjoyed viewing the insect display at the Man. Great stuff!

It’s nice to have someone reminding the public that scientists can be both creative in their own field and also as artists.

hey thanks for the nice comments! I think Science and Art go together hand-in-hand, they both require creativity, out-of-the-box thinking and rigorous methodology….
