Maple Morris was co-founded by myself with Stefan Read, Justin Morrison and Stephanie Phillips in 2005 as a venue for young Morris Dancers to network, workshop and enjoy each other’s company.  What started as an annual Canadian event has evolved into several weekends per year in both the US and Canada, with a membership of over 100 young dance participants.  Our leadership has also expanded to include many of our American dance friends.  Upcoming events include participation at the Marlboro Morris Ale in Vermont (May 2010), a tour of the UK for a collaboration with the Morris Offspring as well as some exciting British bands (2011).  Upon our return from the UK, we anticipate announcing a similar North American collaboration with some exciting Canadian bands.  Stay tuned to the Maple Morris website.
